I'm a native German speaker who has teaching and tutoring experience with students at all levels of ability and across all ages. I have a doctoral degree in molecular biology, and I also have experience teaching German formally for professionals. Language learning can be difficult, but it should always be fun. When I work with students, I customize my approach based on the student I'm working with, and I utilize a laid-back and patient approach focusing on the success of the student. I also emphasize helping students learn both grammar and German situationally. I encourage students to work hard. I impress upon them how valuable it is to learn new languages and open up your world. When I have free time, I like to garden, camp, and play sudoku.
