I attended Emory University for my bachelor's degree in international relations, and I'm currently studying international economics and China studies as a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University. My goal is to become a professional in the foreign policy field. I learned from my instructors that a full understanding of the subject is much more valuable than rote memorization. As a tutor, I want my students to develop a solid understanding of topics so that they can apply their knowledge in new situations and feel confident in their ability when they study on their own. I'm a lifelong learner, and I have an innate curiosity to learn more about the subjects that I enjoy. I can tutor students in economics, English, literature, math, public speaking, history, government, politics, and Mandarin Chinese. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baseball, and making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
