I was an SU Writing Center Consultant/Tutor, as well as an ESL tutor for incoming students. Additionally, I've worked closely with a girl who has two types of dyslexia and ADD to help her improve her focus, reading, writing, and drawing skills. I love sharing my knowledge of academic subjects (namely English and French) and art--it not only reinforces my own understanding, but also helps me uplift others who might be struggling or need extra help. While attending SU, I took a writing center theory class that trained me in the art of working with students as opposed to just editing/proofreading their papers; I know how to cater to the whole person, not just the project at hand.
